Hungary has arrived at the mid-term of its 2nd programming period in the framework of the EU-funded developments. The performance of these passing years provided an opportunity to present the evaluations of development programmes on a European Union level. On 6-7 May, 2010 the Hungarian National Development Agency (NDA) – responsible for the management of EU development programmes – in cooperation with the European Commission hold an international evaluation conference in Budapest entitled:
EVALUATIONS OF EU DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION AND THE VISEGRAD COUNTRIES
27 invited speakers from the EC, the World Bank and the Visegrad Countries have presented their evaluations, methodological approaches and shared lessons drawn with the audience of the conference. Nearly 40 participants out of 130 represented 15 countries all over Europe, among them the Visegrad countries, and the Evaluation Networks of the European Commission, while approximately 100 Hungarian participants included academics and professionals from the areas of evaluation and public administration.
